The four door sports sedan segment continues to be one of the most contested.  And though the three series BMW captures a lot of the spotlight, its arch rival has always been the Mercedes C-Class.  Starting with the 2008 model year, Mercedes introduced an all new C Class and went BMW hunting.  Like the 3 Series, the C Class comes in many prices and variations, from entry level to weekend racer.  The guys spent time in a C300 and tried to embrace their inner Mercedes driver.

This is the car Mercedes hopes will be the first in a lifetime of Mercedes ownership.  So we took it through neighborhoods and freeways where other Mercs roam.  How does it fare among it’s more pricey siblings, and how does this compare to the other German behemouths, Audi and BMW?
